Hero of The Week: The Boss

Web TV Deluxe’s hero of the week goes to the man who changed the game. Yankees owner George Steinbrenner was the pioneer of free agency. George manipulated the system in Baseball when it came to signing players. He also took a failing franchise and brought them back to the top. Steinbrenner had 7 world championships and 11 pennants in New York. It’s been confirmed that The Boss will be buried in Florida on Saturday. However fans have created a tribute to Steinbrenner outside Yankee Stadium. They won’t be able to attend Saturday’s funeral in Tampa because it’s only for immediate family, but public tributes are planned this weekend at Yankee Stadium to remember both Steinbrenner and Bob Sheppard. Many fans will be at the Stadium for Old Timers Day Saturday. Rest in peace George and Bob.
